How To Reduce Your CO2 Emissions

Reducing your CO2 emissions can sound like a daunting task, but you can take a few simple steps to start helping tackle climate change.

- Hang out clothes to dry in good weather, don’t use your tumble dryer if it is not necessary.
- Try walking short distances rather than driving.
- Don’t waste food.
- Recycle everything that bin men collect.
- Get an insulation jacket for your hot water tank.
- When you next get a new car opt for a more fuel efficient model.
- Choose energy saving or more energy efficient appliances.
- Reduce unwanted mail and save paper.
- Replace standard batteries with rechargeable batteries.
- Avoid using disposable plates.
- Switch to more concentrated fabric softener and detergents.
- Donate to charity (anything can be donated including furniture, it saves new items being produced).
- Try car pooling with friends or work colleagues.
